The attendance fee for KoalaPLoP 2002 has now been set at $A995 including GST.

Visitors to Australia will be able to apply for a rebate of the GST amount of approximately $150. If you wish to pursue this, please seek clarification from the Immigration representatives when passing through Australian Customs and Immigration at the airport where you enter Australia -- they should be able to provide you with the appropriate forms.

Receipts will be provided to attendees at the conference.

The fee includes:

  • Attending all the writers' workshops;
  • Attending all the pattern presentations and discussions;
  • Conference proceedings;
  • Three days and two nights on-site accommodation at The Country Place (arriving Wednesday 15th May and departing Friday 17th May) -- please note that accommodation on the night of Tuesday May 14th at the Country Place is not included in the standard conference registration package price. If you wish to stay at The Country Place on Tuesday night, please indicate this on your registration form, and an additional bed-and-breakfast charge (see 'Important Information' page') will be payable to the venue;
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and morning and afternoon tea);
  • Free bar in the evenings;
  • Conference Barbecue and Nite-hike;
  • A 2-hour facilitated activities session;
  • A KoalaPLoP 2002 show-bag, including a teeshirt and some useful visitor's information;
  • Access to the low ropes course and lots of fun games!

Student Scholarships

A small number of scholarships are available to fulltime students who attend KoalaPLoP as authors. If you are eligible, and you wish to apply for consideration for a reduced fee, please email the Conference Chair for consideration. We repeat that the number of scholarships is very limited, and we cannot guarantee to award them to every eligible applicant. Preference will be given to first-time authors.

Please read and understand the following statement.

The organisers of the KoalaPlop 2002 conference have been informed by the operators of the venue that the venue has adequate public liability insurance to cover any person attending the conference from physical accidents.

The organisers have taken reasonable care to insure that the conference content will be as advertised, however circumstances beyond the organiser's control could prevent a speaker from attending.

The conference will contain information and opinions which do not necessarily represent the views of the organisers.

Your registration for the conference is made on the basis that the organisers, namely James Noble, Paul Taylor, Andy Bulka, Brian Foote and other persons assisting with the conference, assume no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage arising in any way in relation to the conference and that you release them from all liability in relation to such conference, including the liability for negligence.

Registrations will be processed on a first-come/first-served basis. In the event that we receive more registrations than spaces, authors will be given priority over non-authors.

A copy of the registration information you have submitted will be sent to your email address to acknowledge your registration.
