TREEHOUSE

TREEHOUSE is an international research network for SDN (in particular multidomain SDN - how SDN-based networks could interoperate without necessarily relying on today's protocols). Experiments can be run on the platform simply by arrangement with participants. New participants can join by arranging their own connectivity with current participants (Eg, VPLS) and contributing hardware and controller software that can speak at least BGP. If in doubt - email joshb@google.com.

VANDERVECKEN

VANDERVECKEN is an SDN controller stack for research, based on RouteFlow. Some experiments are based on the VANDERVECKEN stack. TREEHOUSE participants sometimes use VANDERVECKEN, sometimes other controllers. As interoperability is key, participants are encouraged to be adventurous and diverse in their choice of hardware and software.
